On 24 August 2008 the Beijing Olympic Games came to a close. The eyes of the world are now on London - and Newham - as hosts of the next summer Olympic Games. To mark the occasion films have been produced starring Newham people performing Olympic-inspired feats and reflecting on their dreams and ambitions for 2012.
The poor weather couldn't dampen the spirits of around 42,000 people who enjoyed a feast of free music at the four-day Under the Stars extravaganza in East Ham's Central Park.
