Stratford London information

Welcome to Stratford, London’s most dynamic district. We can’t wait to show you everything that’s happened since the glorious summer of 2012.

The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is now fully open. In this beautiful 226 acre green space, visitors can meander in the meadows and stroll along the waterways, watching for wildlife among the reeds. Some of the spectacular sporting facilities where the world’s finest competitors raised the roof are now yours to enjoy. Make a splash in the wake of champions in the Aquatic Centre; work out in the gym or play badminton in the Copper Box Arena; take a spin round the cycle tracks and trails of the VeloPark. Don’t leave without making the ascent up the iconic Arcelor Mittal Orbit for a bird’s eye view of it all, and check out our great programme of activities and events this year.

Stratford is now one of Britain’s most popular retail and leisure destinations. Westfield Stratford City has over 300 shops and restaurants, anchored by John Lewis and Marks and Spence. In Stratford town centre, there is a wealth of shops, stalls, bars and cafés, many of them new, independent businesses, offering the best authentic food and cooking from all corners of the world, along with goods and services at incredible value for money.

This part of London is acclaimed for its cultural and cosmopolitan mix, and the nightlife throws a spotlight on the best of it. After a day of sightseeing, sport and shopping, you can relax in the Cultural Quarter, with its theatre, cinema, performing arts centre and restaurants, or the 17-screen cinema, bowling alley and casino over in Westfield.

We are so proud of the incredible transformation that has been achieved in our area, and we are delighted to welcome you to share it. There are even more exciting plans for the near future, so please come again soon.
