Gardening categories
You don't have to have a garden to enjoy home grown vegetables, many varieties grow well in either window boxes or containers on your balcony.
This year we will be awarding prizes to Newham's best home grown produce. Categories include:
- longest carrots
- biggest courgettes
- juiciest strawberries
- reddest radish
- leafiest lettuce
- Newham's oddest looking vegetable (fruits also accepted!)
You can begin planting seeds indoors now for a plentiful summer crop. If you are looking for inspiration, why not head down to your local community garden where you will find experts and beginners growing together.
