Mayor of Newham, Sir Robin Wales, said: "The launch of this unique standalone website will enable the film office to help even more filmmakers find the dream location they're looking for.
"Filming in the borough has a direct beneficial effect on the local economy and the website also gives residents a unique opportunity to offer their own homes and businesses as locations with the full support of the film office."
The council regularly sources filming locations for production companies and studios.
