Here is Cecilia's review of the play:

In all my visits to West End theatres, I have never experienced a play like Family Man in Theatre Royal in Stratford. The show is about a man who got his girlfriend pregnant at seventeen, and tries to deal with the news that his seventeen year old son has done exactly the same thing.

Different angles to the problem are explored through the voices of the characters, who were each so believable that I at times felt like I was witnessing a real family drama.

The script is tight and clever, and deals with topical sociological issues in a profound, yet funny and contemporary way.

An interesting technique, that involved changing one background to another while a character was reading the last lines of a scene, ensured that the play ran smoothly without any disruptions.

The audience showed their appreciation by laughing out loud and cheering and clapping throughout the play and at the end the cast got a well-deserved standing ovation.
