Recognised nationally for their work, Newham University Hospital NHS teams in Diabetes and Bilingual Health Advocacy have both won national Health and Social Care awards; our Chest Pain Clinic, headed by Evening Standard Doctor of the Year, Kula Ranjan, is a Beacon Site; and their Patient and Public Involvement work was named as one of 11 examples of good practice from the entire UK public sector.
The hospital is investing heavily in the future and are currently developing the Newham General Hospital site in Plaistow. There will be new buildings, new equipment and specially trained staff to meet the changing needs of Newham's population. These improvements will ensure that residents of East London have access to the latest responsive, high quality, value-for-money healthcare.
