We Are What We Do, the global social change movement behind the best selling book Change the World for a Fiver and the Anya Hindmarch 'I'm Not A Plastic Bag' project have been inspiring the children of Godwin School to consider how we might all use our everyday actions to change the world.
"Children understand issues like global warming and recycling far better than many adults. They have lots of ideas about how to make the world a better place. The Godwin School choir, with their music teacher Jenny Beeching, decided to highlight the problems with plastic bags by composing their own song. The children have seen pictures of baby birds with plastic stuck in their throats and round their necks. They decided to do something to make people think twice before using them," says Frances Clarke of We Are What We Do.
"The children wanted to make their voices heard and to join the campaign against plastic bags and so we asked to sing our song in a Marks and Spencer store to celebrate their new policy of charging for plastic bags," adds Jenny Beeching, Music Teacher at Godwin Primary School
