The award winning £45 million Barrier Point development is part of the impressive Thames Barrier Park development. It lies between the Royal Victoria Dock and the River Thames.
Barrier Point is a stunning example of architectural creativity and landscaping, the sort becoming a common feature of the Newham landscape.
The development scooped four awards at the 'What House?' magazine Awards 2000 (the Oscars of the house-building industry) - more than any other single development in the UK.
It has continued to win accolades ever since. Barratts, the developers, say that it is London's most decorated building.
On the opposite side of Barrier Park, the Tradewinds building is another residential development sporting an 18-storey riverbank tower with apartments cascading in steps down to the river, providing 250 homes.
