Gold factor talent identification day

The Newham Sports Academy with Tessa Sanderson is looking for new talent who could become part of Team GB in the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Event targeted at disabled people aged between 11-45

Could you be the next Paralympic medallist?

We will be holding a Gold Factor Talent Identification day for disabled people. The event is targeted at disabled people aged between 11-45 years old who are:

  • Blind and partially sighted people

  • Amputees

  • Dwarfs

  • People with Cerebral Palsy

  • People with Spinal cord injury

  • Wheelchair users

No previous experience of sport is required

Venue: Newham Leisure Centre, 281 Prince Regent Lane, Plaistow, London E13 8SD
Date: Friday 21st November 08
Time: 10:30am-2:30pm

Registration will commence from 10am. A welcome introduction will start at 10:15am

Athletics 10:30-11:30am
Session open to people with the following impairments:
Blind and partially sighted
Amputations
Paraplegia
Quadriplegia
Cerebral palsy
Wheelchair users

Table Tennis 11.30am- 12.30pm
Session open to people with the following impairments:
Upper and lower limb paralysis
Cerebral palsy
Spina bifida
Polio
Muscular dystrophy
Multiple sclerosis
Wheelchair users

Swimming (Please ensure you leave enough time to get changed) 12:30-1:30pm
Session open to people with the following impairments:
Spinal cord injuries
Cerebral palsy
Amputations
Muscular dystrophy
Multiple sclerosis
Dwarfism
Spina bifida
Blind and partially sighted
Wheelchair users

Multi skills 1:30-2:30pm
Session open to people with any of the above impairments

This event is funded by CLM (the Olympic Delivery Authority's construction delivery agency) and is delivered in partnership with the Amateur Swimming Association and Greenwich Leisure Ltd.
