Table tennis challenge for all

Here's your chance to show off your smash, slice and top-spin. Throughout December Newham's Community Forums are holding inter-forum table tennis competitions for young people and adults.

Grab a bat and join in the fun!

The competitions are being run in conjunction with Sport England and are open to young people and adults in four age categories: eight to 15 years, 16 to 18 years, over 18s and over 50s.

Anyone who lives or works in one of the nine community forum areas can take part in their local competition. All they have to do is turn up ready to play. All sporting equipment will be provided.

The heats start on Tuesday, December 9 and run until Friday, December 12. The finals will take place on Sunday, December 14 at Newham Leisure Centre in Plaistow.

All finalists will receive a t-shirt and a Newham medal. The winners will each receive a Newham Shield and an MP3 player.
