The Balfour Beatty London Youth Games 2010

The Balfour Beatty London Youth Games are Europe's biggest multi sports event and offer a great opportunity for young people from Newham to participate in sport and socialise with friends.

Christine Ohurougu, Patron of London Youth Games 2010

London Youth Games was inaugurated in 1977 as part of The Queen’s Silver Jubilee Celebrations. Now entering its 3nd year, the Games provides competitive sporting opportunities for young Londoners representing the London borough they live or school in

With such a variety of sports on offer young people have the opportunity to try sports that they were previously unaware of.

If anyone would like to know more about the games and are interested in taking part then they have to be in school years 7 and above (most sports are school years 7-9) and either live, go to school or work in the borough.

Please note that anyone who is interested needs to contact Lisa Brivati by 10 April 2010.
