We've got a scorching summer programme planned this year with
something for all the family.

I'm proud to say that more than 100,000 people flock to our summer events every year and no wonder! Entertainment, fashion shows, fun for younger residents, sports, top musicians and singers, a spectacular firework finale and I could go on!

This year's line-up promises to be even bigger and better, kicking off with the ever popular Mayor's Newham Show on 12-13 July; our four-day music extravaganza Under the Stars on 28-31 August and special film screenings in Stratford Park in September.

In this special programme you'll also find details of the hugely popular Summer School, where children can learn everything from dressmaking and Spanish to computer skills and numeracy - and as always, all courses are free! Summer's finally here so kick off your shoes and enjoy the best entertainment any borough has to offer.
