Ticket giveaway for the Visa London 2012 Party

On Sunday 24 August the Olympic Flag is officially handed over from the Mayor of Beijing to the Mayor of London. To celebrate the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) are holding the Visa London 2012 Party on The Mall, London.

London 2012's eight minute performance in the Olympic Stadium will be watched by around 1.5 billion people worldwide

The Visa London 2012 Party will feature top bands, acts and lots of special guests.

The line-up includes:

  • Katherine Jenkins
  • Will Young
  • James Morrison
  • Scouting for Girls
  • Il Divo
  • McFly
  • The Feeling

On the day live coverage of the closing ceremony will be displayed on big screens. People also have the opportunity to find out more about the London Games and try out new sports at the London 2012 Roadshow.

Details about the day

When: Sunday 24 August 2008. Doors open at 12pm. Show starts at 1pm and the event finishes at 5.15pm, all times are approximate.
Where: The Mall, London.
The event is standing only and young children should be accompanied by adults. Food can be brought into the enclosure but alcohol is prohibited.

Competition

LOCOG have given a number of tickets to Newham to give away to local residents on a first come, first served basis. To enter please e-mail: office@newham.gov.uk with the following information by Tuesday 19 August:

  • Number of tickets required (Maximum of four tickets)
  • Accessibility requirements
