Would you like to give your thoughts on what you'd like to see to the masterplanners who are organising the Olympic Legacy and want to hear from young people in Newham?
Do you want to go up to the Olympic Park Viewing Gallery to see the Olympic site as it's being built?
If so, then you should come to the Young People's Olympic Legacy Event, hosted by Newham's Young Mayor!
This is happening on Saturday, 27 September in Stratford Old Town Hall from 12- 5.30pm. At the event there will be:
- A fun Olympic Trivia Quiz - test your knowledge of Olympic History and Legacy Planning for before and after 2012
- Hear what ideas have already been put forward for the Olympic Park after 2012
- Take a trip to the Olympic Park Viewing Gallery where you can overlook the site and see what has already been built
- Take a trip to further explore Newham and see what other regeneration projects are going on
- Have the opportunity to say what young people would like to see in the park once the Games are over - what would you like to see in Newham?
- A buffet lunch
The event is free and is open to all Newham residents aged 13-18. There are 50 spaces available and these are allocated on a first come, first served basis so you need to book now to avoid disappointment!
To secure your place, you can either email office@newham.gov.uk or phone Newham 2012 Unit's number 0208 430 2012 and ask for Bethany Reid. You need to give us your name and postal address and we'll then send you an invitation letter from the Young Mayor with a return booking slip and a parental/ guardian consent form.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
